Abstract

The important iconography charge in ancient coins, even more in Greek ancient coins, get relevance during warring periods when the meaning sense are not choose by chance. Considering the fact that Greek coins have in their natural evolution a landmark with the Persian Wars, as it happened in economy, politics and culture of Greece. After the victory, Greeks put on their coins messages full of warring and victory symbolism. Owls of Laurion will never leave us; But they will live within the city, and they will nest In purses and carry off some small change. Aristophanes, Birds 1106-8.
