Abstract

The present work makes a meticulous study of the monumental inscription of front of Palacio del Infantado in Guadalajara. It is analyzed its functionality in the context of the Palace; also a new reading is contributed. In addition the impossibility to read ample parts of it is justified by the restoration made in the middle of XX century.
