The administrative correspondence of the Spanish bishoprics in the Early Modern Age (XVIIth-XVIIIth centuries)
Abstract
The administrative correspondence of the Absolute Monarchy has been studied in recent years. We do not know, On the contrary, this reality in other institutions of the Modern Age is unknown. This contribution supposes an approach to the study of this subject throughout episcopal. The author shows the influence exerted by the forms of correspondence epistolary sources in the missives used both by the different organs of the curia and in the requests sent that individuals sent to the bishop or his officers. The author tries to classify the documentary typologies, describing them from a diplomatic point of view remarking their characteristics.
