Abstract

No graphologist has ever had the courage to face the analysis of Leonardo Da Vinci's writing. His originality, his mystery, his enigmatic character, are also revealed in his peculiar way of writing, which is nothing but the more sincere portrait of his eccentric and unique personality. Will the secrets of his enigmatic psychology be hidden/reflected in his writing? Will we be able to discover them? This is certainly the challenge of this project, developed 500 years after the death of the Re-naissance Genius.
This article proposes a journey through the essential characteristics of the humanist calligraphic model, as well as through Leonardo's singular way of writing —specular and right—. The possible causes of the artist's specular writing will be addressed. We will go deep into his soul, into the darkest and deepest secrets of his personality, through the analysis of his letters and his famous Codex, with a complete graphologic study.
