Abstract

This paper changes the chronology of an inscription preserved in the castle of Molina de Aragon; it was ordered by Blanca de Molina. Traditionally this epigraph has been attributed to the final years of the thirteenth century, the epoch of Doña Blanca; however palaeographic analysis of conserved letters of the inscription can prove that it was used prehumanistic writing; this writing was employed in Castile in the last two decades of XV century.
