Una valoración de la situación de la Formación Ocupacional en Extremadura a través de los actores sociales

Abstract

This article focuses on the sectorial results of a National Research Project about Training as strategic factor in the business culture of the Spanish regions target n.° 1. These sectorial results are based on a qualitative methodology of research and refer to the Region of Extremadura. It intends to expound the importance of the human resources training for the development of the business weave and, in general, for the socio-economic development of the region. Having this into account, the incidence of the systems of training articulated, mainly, to the EU programmes is analized: occupational training, continuous training, in relation to the qualification and development of human resources. The training factor is an indispensable requirement in the current and future socioeconomic environment, due to the rapidity that changes happen in society, and with it, in the business organizations; technological, management and social changes, in relation to the qualifications and abilities of the members that are part of the labour market and of the organizations themselves. From this perspective, our objective would be to analize the main problems in the training issue and the existing needs, and to observe which is the present situation in relation with the supply and demand of training in Extremadura. For that, the objectives of this article are: 1. To find out existing problems in the supply and demand. 2. To reveal the role of players, mainly of trade workers and employers, of type Occupational Training y Continuous Training. 3. To analize the role of the centres of contribution in the Occupational Training and the Continuous Training. 4. Functions of the Occupational Training and Continuous Training in a region with a weak business weave as Extremadura.
