Neuer Markt 1997-2003: De una apertura eufórica a un agónico cierre
Abstract
Thursday 26 september 2002 Deutsche Börse executive, V. POTTOFF, announced to national and international media the decision to close its Neuer Markt at the end of 2003. This decision is motivated, in general terms, by technological securities crac, in particular, by bankruptcies and innacurated accounts of issuing companies and, in short, by german New Market limited transparency. The euphoria in march 1997 changed in pessimism and suspicion. The outcome: dying, but inevitable closure. When and how is created Neuer Markt, what admission and continuance quantitative and qualitative requirements, what examples of New Markets follows Neuer Markt and which New Markets follows example of Neuer Markt, and, finally, when and why executives decided its closure are the questions this paper concerns.Downloads
