De la ciudad moderna a la ciudad posmoderna. Barcelona en dos novelas de Eduardo Mendoza: La ciudad de los prodigios y Mauricio o las elecciones primarias
Abstract
Since La verdad sobre el caso Savolta (1975), Eduardo Mendoza’s novels show an obvious interest to write about life in Barcelona in different moments of its history. In this paper, I will analyse the configuration of the urban space in two novels by this author, published with a time gap of exactly twenty years. In both novels, Barcelona appears as the space of History, in a diachronic way in La ciudad de los prodigios and in a synchronic way in Mauricio o las elecciones primarias.Downloads
