The Photographic Language Models as an Architectural Creative Expression
Abstract
In this study we relate the architectural models designed by the architect as a tool to project the construction of a building in the urban space and the architectural scenarios created by the photographer for artistic purposes. The main aim is to know how the photographs of decontextualized scenarios isolate the buildings of their functionality in the public space, forming new perceptions of time, place and memory. Its purpose goes beyond the purely architectural, that is to say, it exceeds the level of mimesis or the duplicity of the gaze, previously to the materialization of any construction. To reach our aim, weanalyze the work of four contemporary artists, whose methodology is based onthe design and construction of architectural scenarios as a first step beforecapturing the photograph.Downloads
