Paris "à vol de femme": Chahdortt Djavann’s "Comment peut-on être français?"
Abstract
This work analyses, in the novel Comment peut-on être français? written by Chahdortt Djavann, the development and stages of the Parisian experience of the main character, a young woman from Iran. Exiled, she comes to the French capital and tries first to integrate into the city space, but she fails, and from the core of an ambiguous Paris comes to the surface the traumatic souvenir of her past in another and opposite urban space.Downloads
