Focus and Scope

Ángulo Recto (ISSN-e 1989-4015) is a journal for city studies that is published in May and December each year and is dedicated to a specific topic. The journal compiles articles on cities seen from different ambits, such as architecture, anthropology, human geography, history, literature, philosophy, sociology, psychology, communication sciences, fine arts or the history of art. The main goal is to provide a vision of the city as a plural, intercommunicating and intercultural space, always approached from an interdisciplinary point of view. These studies will emphasize issues related to humanistic disciplines, literature and the arts.

Open Access Policy

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

Ángulo Recto. Revista de estudios sobre la ciudad como espacio plural is an open access journal that does not charge authors for article processing (submission, review or editing) or publication.

Interoperability protocols

Ángulo Recto. Revista de estudios sobre la ciudad como espacio plural provides an interface OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative – Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) that enables interoperability between different platforms and repositories through the exchange of metadata.

Code of Conduct and best practice

The journal Ángulo Recto abides by the Code of Conduct and best practice established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and Code of Conduct for Journals Publishers). In compliance with this code, the journal shall ensure the scientific quality of the publications and that it responds adequately to the needs of readers and authors. The code is applicable to all parties involved in the administration and publication of scientific results in journals published by Ediciones Complutense on the Complutense Scientific Journals Website, viz. the editorial teams, authors, and reviewers. Works that do not comply with these ethical rules shall be rejected
