Traditional wisdom for the breeding of quinoa (Chenopodium Quinoa Willd) and use in Aymara communities (Puno-Peru)
Abstract
The research is about traditional knowledge for the breeding of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd) and its usage in the peasant communities of the districts of Pilcuyo and Ilave(Puno-Perú), for this reason the general question is: What is the set of traditional knowledge of breeding of quinoa and use in Aymara peasant communities? This research describes the knowledge and practices in raising the cultivation of quinoa and its use in food and medicine. Using the qualitative cut methodology. We justify that not many works have been carried out linked to the holistic worldview of breeding knowledge, therefore, as a result, ancestral breeding practices are evidenced, and observation of the various signs (indicators), to guarantee the production and food safety of the family.
