Las demandas de “Huella Hídrica” y su precio, en España: Diferencias territoriales
Abstract
During the second half of the twentieth century and on the eve of the twenty-first, the expansion of irrigation, urbanization, industrialization, development of tourism and hydroelectric have favored a strong increase in water demands, sometimes exceeding natural supply of resources. This research attempts to analyze the reality of water demand in Spain, using the indicator "Water Footprint". To do this, we study demand "water footprint" in our country, at sectoral level (economic sectors) and regional level and also calculated and compared with the supply of "Water Footprint". Finally, from a regional perspective, assesses the link between supply and demand for water and the quantification and pricing of this through prices "water Footprint", in Spain.
