La cooperación argentina en la lucha contra el terrorismo en el contexto internacional e interamericano

Abstract

In the face of the transformations and the complex dynamics that the contemporary society presents, the problem of terrorism constitutes one serious threat to the national, regional and international security. Therefore, the efforts to prevent and to fight this transnational form of crime are fundamental, since they imply coordination and require uniform guidelines of regional and international cooperation to face it, because terrorism is not only a problem for the countries that generate or suffer it, whether directly or indirectly, but for all of them. In this paper we will briefly address different issues related to fighting terrorism, the treatment from the scope of international and inter-American cooperation of this subject and Argentina´s initiatives produced in the field in recent years, finally to express some conclusions that contribute to reflection on this problematic.
