French language and cultural Francophone cultural productions in Chantal Maillard’s literary work
Abstract
The philosopher and poet Chantal Maillard, at only eleven years of age, left her homeland, Belgium, for Malaga. She has written all her works in Spanish since then, even though she enriched herself culturally by reading philosophical and literary texts in French. This article aims to analyse and highlight the influence of French language on her literary work, as well as the influence of French philosophers, such as Deleuze, and Belgian artists, such as Henri Michaux.
