La mémoire et ses enjeux identitaires dans le roman francophone contemporain: deux lectures de texte
Abstract
The plays on memory hold an important place in the contemporary French-speaking novel where they seem to be the privileged vehicles of an identity quest. The sole goal of the two readings here proposed Thélème. Revista Complutense de Estudios Franceses ISSN: 1139-9368 2004, 19, 65-72 Daniel Marcheix La mémoire et ses enjeux identitaires dans le roman francophone contemporain... is to try and explain this connection. The assumption is that beyond the diversity of the cultural backgrounds and beyond the possible narrative techniques, the contemporary French-speaking novel very often turns recollection into the symptom of an identity crisis. This crisis is fed on problematic origins and it appears through the dispute of the sensitive and perceptive presence of the characters as well as through their anxious and unstable link with time whose chronological order is then mightily altered.Downloads
