Abstract

This work proposes an introduction to Francisco Suárez’s doctrine on Physical Science in his Metaphysical Disputations I. The context of the research deals with the notion of adequate object, a theory of abstraction, and the order of Speculative Sciences in general. It is concluded that, in order to better understand Physical Sciences, it is necessary to observe their relationship with Metaphysics, delimiting the foundation, horizon, and divisions of natural Philosophy.
