Sostenibilidad del suministro energético en zonas rurales de los países en desarrollo. Parámetros clave para garantizar la viabilidad de los proyectos de electrificación
Abstract
Energy supply in proper conditions is one of the strategies and objectives to follow in order to improve the standard of living of more than 2,000 million persons that do not have access to the electricity all over the world. The existence of sustainable models of energetic supply is one of the requirements needed to advance in the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals established by the United Nations for 2015. This article makes a review of the leading elements that need to be considered when initiating electricity supply projects in developing countries. The main conclusions of the article have been obtained through the analysis of a survey that was distributed among experts from all over the world at the end of year 2004. The objective of the survey was to identify and evaluate different proposals for financing and organising energy projects in rural areas.
