Migraciones y género. Cuando el continente africano se hace pequeño
Abstract
The authoress reviews african migrations through history with a gender perspective. First of all it analyzes the model of “labour migrations” that grew to currently during the cononial period and the impact it has left in the image of african women as static and secondary figures. The second part analyzes the rural-urban migrations after independence and the international migrations —now restricted- promoted by the colonies as labour force. The article tries to reflect the importance of african immigrant women in Europe and the networks they create, as well as the contradictions they have to face every day.
