Abstract

Nowadays South-South Cooperation (SSC) is presented as the great transformation of international development cooperation. Countries working under this epitome use it to claim for their well-deserved space in this revisionism, trying to achieve common development goals, but without neglecting the specificities of each country. The Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) shares significant elements with this pattern. Both are based on horizontal power relationships that assign specific roles to all entitlements that build up States and focuses their work towards the fulfilling of Human Rights. This article analyzes how to work the Right to Food in SSC, as an example of new methodologies that promote solidarity and social justice, like SSC y HRBA.
