Trump versus the global development agenda. First semester of 2017
Abstract
On January 20, 2017 Donald Trump took office as the 45th President of the United States. Since then the global development agenda, the international cooperation and multilateralism are suffering serious repercussions. Speeches, executive orders, twitters and concrete actions by the US executive, but also generated from other latitudes crumble the foundations of development global governance. In spite of that, there are also collaboration exercises among different international actors that try to respond the challenges arising from the 2030 Development Agenda as well as from the current and humanitarian crisis. Both sides of the development agenda in this period are analyzed in this paper.
