La Academia Hispano-Ecuatoriana de Barcelona: un proyecto ecuatorianista en Cataluña (1927-1938)
Abstract
This article tries to rescue of the forgetfulness the singular history of Carlos Alberto Muñoz, an Ecuadorian rooted in Catalonia that in 1927 founded the Academia Hispano- Ecuatoriana, that became a irradiador center of the Ecuadorian culture in Barcelona. The analysis of the personal file of the own Carlos Alberto Muñoz, in special the long relation by mail maintained with their brother Leonardo Muñoz, resident in Quito, allows to reconstruct the ups and downs of this ecuatorianist project, that supposed a significant contribution to the cultural relations between Ecuador and Spain in the decades of 1920 and 1930, although was truncated prematurely.Downloads
