Singular political events and transnational diffusion processes: the Tricontinental Conference of Havana
Abstract
This article reflects on the study of the Tricontinental Conference of Havana based on its definition as a space of contact in which took place relationships, creation of networks and processes of political-ideological dissemination that were key in the future of some of its participants. The role of these events in the literature on transnational diffusion processes is analyzed, from a theoretical point of view, to understand their characteristics, assess those elements that are considered relevant to the object of study, and expand the reflection on the forms of diffusion considering the spaces and contact events, until now not addressed either theoretically or empirically.
