Abstract

This article describes [he Lacoast Project whose main objective has been [he study of [he evolution at [he European coasts between 1975 and 1987. Starting from [he ground cover database, scale 1:100.000, Corine Land Cover (CLC) made on Landsat TM images, they are updated retrospectively [o 1975, with support of Landsat MSS images. Finally [he changes are mapped and made a simple estadistie processing of the change's surfaces in strips of 0-1 Km, 0-5 Km and 0-10 Km from [he coastline.
