Diagnóstico sobre el uso energético de la biomasa en la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León (España)
Abstract
The biomass is, despite its continued presence in nature, one of the least known of the renewable energy sources, and it is often overshadowed by others such as wind and solar power. The potential that the biomass currently presents should be a viable alternative to regular employment in rural towns where depopulation is one of the main threats. In the case of Castilla y León, the relative cold climate in winter, the presence of a sufficiently extensive tree cover, and the presence of a numerous dispersed rural population give a new opportunity to this autonomous community. The opportunity before mentioned is that of becoming one of the richest areas in terms of the uses of biomass, always from the perspective of the sustainability of the forests.Downloads
