Riesgos medioambientales vinculados a la ganadería en la Sierra de San Vicente

Abstract

The difficulty of finding a suitable balance in the rural way to avoid the destruction social-demographic of rural zones depressed with the involution of his endogenous values, and a suitable conservation of the environmental values that have managed survive throughout the times, is what leads us to raising the above mentioned problematic in a concrete case, natural region Sierra of San Vicente (Toledo), where the cattle landscapes have great importance, result of the agricultural inheritance of a nearby past. Now the cattle subsector has an economic and social relevant importance in the region, circumstance that takes as a counterpart important problems of pollution tied to this activity, of which the most serious is that of the pollution of the waters, since the great quantity of tailing of the farmer developments contaminate springs and creeks without observing the regulation.
