La Vega de Motril (Granada) como espacio verde periurbano: su valor paisajístico para el desarrollo sostenible
Abstract
The usefulness of the landscape in the planning and management policies, it is now a fact contrasted and accepted by the majority of the scientific community and the society. However, one of the greatest threats currently affecting the conservation and presentation of our landscape is the occupation and degradation of it, especially by increasing urbanization on coast. Hence, it is very important a suitable territorial management, with “integrated” human interventions, in a way to keeping the landscape properties. The Vega of Motril, a Agrarian Singular Landscape situated on the Mediterranean coast of Granada which many ecosystems and traditional agricultural uses, has been severely disturbed in recent years as a result of the proliferation of urbanizations and intensive agricultural uses. The aim of this study is to make evident the importance of preserving this Vega and the possibility of turning it into a protected natural area in the Spanish normative figure of “Periurban Park.”Downloads
