Evolution and taxation of sustainable tourism in the Balearic Islands
Abstract
Tourism in the Balearic Islands has experienced unprecedented growth, becoming one of the best-known tourist destinations in the world. This development has brought with it a series of consequences, from social and environmental to legal. The taxation of tourism in the territory of the Balearic Islands has evolved over time to adapt to emerging needs, and can become a useful tool for environmental protection. Thanks to the analysis of the evolution of the taxation of sustainable tourism in the Balearic Islands, we will study future proposals for the Autonomous Community.
