Sustainability in the development model of Nunavut (Canada)
Abstract
For this project it has been made an analysis of a development model for Nunavut, Canada. First it has been analyzed the climate change that suffers the region and its consequences at an environmental level, but also regarding the international relations among riparian states, balancing between tension and cooperation. On this international and environmental context we will analyze the development model of Nunavut. Furthermore, once the territory of Nunavut has been studied, we will focus on the Inuit population of Nunavut and their troubles. This project proposes a sustainable model of development, mainly based on the social pillar of the concept of sustainable development. At this point it is essential to fight against food uncertainty and against other behavioral risks such as the suicide epidemic.
