Abstract

Due to the increase of the worlwide development, housing became a consumption object, an environmental stratification element with a progressive impact on the sustainability of the nature itself, in addition to be essential for the man’s survival. The current economic crisis is starred by a real-estate market speculative boom that places us at the end of a vertiginous cycle, a spectacular scene where there is a competition between the need of inhabiting a place for living and the chance of having a good investment, an exchange value. For all these reasons, it is interesting to understand the housing phenomenon as a crosswise matter of our civilisation, a repeated object of multidisciplinary study in the academic world, a debate topic in regional, national and international politics, or as a factorial analysis of a wide spectrum of the economic activity sectors. In order to prove the housing problems, we count on many documents published about these matters where the authors try to show and describe the context of this reality and the multiple directions of these conceptual and theoretical approaches developed in this field.
