La política medioambiental en el ámbito urbano

Abstract
Sustainability as a concept emerges within the Rio Conference in 1992, and it is link to the United Nation’s new general purpose of “sustainable development”. This development includes five dimensions: the economic dimension, the social dimension, the environmental dimension, and finally, in a complementary form, both the territorial dimension, reflecting the different levels of development and sustainability which corresponds to the different states, regions, provinces…, and the global dimension, reflecting the sustainability of the Planet Earth as a whole. It is plain obvious that any territorial policy has consequences on the different levels of sustainability of a given space because affects the use of the land and the natural heritage. In conclusion, good territorial policies may improve in good extent the levels of sustainability of any territorial development.Downloads
