Abstract

The country of the United Arab Emirates has a desert ecosystem and limited natural resources. Over the years, they have significantly increased energy expenditure and its capacity and demand for imported products and other natural resources from abroad. As a result, the UAE has placed first as the country with per capita ecological footprint highest in the world. The objective of this project is to present the environmental problems faced by the country due to the poor management of their resources; and to create an action plan to make the water and waste sectors, cleaner and more efficient, with the use of renewable energies and new technologies. For the development of this project different methodologies were used. As qualitative sources, I met and visited private and public companies in the energy sector and as quantitative methods, I created questionnaires.
