Abstract

This work aims to provide an overview of the development models and Territorial Organization from the perspective of the relationship between the urban environment, "rururban" and rural case study, in the field of water consumption in Spain. Therefore, once know and appreciate the conceptual and thematic approach, is studied the urban growth in Spain in recent decades, analyzing in detail the importance which has claimed and charges the legislative implementation of laws, plans and policies, both in itself and urban growth in demand for housing in the Spanish cities and, similarly, linking both to the price of housing, relating to the issue of "rurbanization" and rural. At the same time takes into account the activities that have been and are being carried out to manage water demand through conservation and efficiency measures, in addition to the use of unconventional resources such as treated wastewater and stormwater.
