Abstract

This article presents a new approach to cultural landscapes of water, from the study of environmental contexts surrounding the historical infrastructure of Madrid. All this without forgetting that in the course of the last hundred and fifty years ago, in which once be called "poor Sierra de Madrid" has been shaping a new landscape, which is that of the reservoirs, canals, dams, beacons and siphons , coupled with constructive experienced intense development in the late twentieth century, in addition to increasing citizen compliance requirements planning law and more restrictive policy has simultaneously spurred a new social demands, the integration of landscape of the buildings in the area of Madrid society. Finally, note that the application of landscape integration strategy is a useful tool for the management of cultural landscapes, especially for certain procedures, as with traps, beacons and weirs.
