Tourism and heritage cities: case study, Santiago de Compostela
Abstract
In Santiago de Compostela found a city in which its historic and therefore, the monuments that form it shows us the reality of a collective memory inscribed in architectural landmarks or museum that make it important and diversified sources of attraction, not only tourist. With this in mind, the present paper we study the potentialimportance in the current reality of boosting tourism Compostela, from the consequences arising from actions such as the “Tourism Promotion Plan” and “Excellence in Tourism Planning.” Similarly, we stop at the job description of the main tourist sights Compostela, based on its monuments, stopping finally in assessing the role ofpublic and private tourism Compostela.
