Abstract

In Santiago de Compostela found a city in which its historic and therefore, the monu­ments that form it shows us the reality of a collective memory inscribed in architec­tural landmarks or museum that make it important and diversified sources of attrac­tion, not only tourist. With this in mind, the present paper we study the potentialimportance in the current reality of boosting tourism Compostela, from the conse­quences arising from actions such as the “Tourism Promotion Plan” and “Excellence in Tourism Planning.” Similarly, we stop at the job description of the main tourist sights Compostela, based on its monuments, stopping finally in assessing the role ofpublic and private tourism Compostela.
