Improving performance in a cement factory by the use of alternative fuels

Abstract

Today’s economy is undergoing a major economic crisis, which in the case of companiesis compounded by an increasing of energetic prices, this crisis affecting almostall developed countries. Many companies optimize their costs thoughthe restructuring of their processes to remain competitive and remain well positionedin the market. One of the most affected sectors in Spain is the construction, whetherpublic or private, and therefore affects the Spanish cement sector. In this paper westudy the implementation of improvements in the energy performance of cementcompanies through employment and alternative fuels.
