Derecho a la vida y tratamientos vitales coactivos
Abstract
Under the Spanish ordinary and constitutional case law the coercive imposition of vital treatments has been judged according to law, although personal freedom was supposed to be limited. According to the Spanish Constitutional Court, with regard to this question, the right to life does not contain the right to die. This argumentation gives rise to the following questions: Is there a right to die different to the right to life? Can a person decide about end-of-life treatments? Can the patient ask for medical aid in case of suspension or omission of the medical treatment an so on?Downloads
