Civil disobedience: returning to Thoreau, Gandhi and M. L. King
Abstract
The present work is focused on the main writings of the three great representatives of civil disobedience: Thoreau, Gandhi and Luther King. In order to oppose the injustice of the legislation in force at a certain time, they carried out nonviolent actions in disobedience of the law. In the same way, the university movement The White Rose and Solzhenitsyn are clear examples of brave opposition to the injustice of the dictatorships of the 20th century. Their proposal to overcome indifference in the face of evil and to reject all participation in injustice is still entirely contemporary.Downloads
