América a los ojos de un escritor polaco: Henryk Sienkiewicz

Abstract

Sicnkiewicz spent two years traveling in America from where he was sending letters to Gazeta Polska. His aim was to present a general idea of the United States and the trends animating its society. Sienkiewicz’s letters were a reportage, a sociological study, and the idyllic memoir of an artist. Upon his return to Europe Sienkiewicz supplemented his letters with a series of short stories which described his impressions and memories from America.
