Abstract
The article examines the Bulgarian reception of Cervantes and Don Quijote in its historical evolution from the beginning of the Spanish-Bulgarian literary relations, and concretely from 1859, to the present day, placing it in the global context of the presence of the Spanish literature in Bulgaria. We study the different translations of the masterpiece in their chronological order and the critical interpretation in its variety of approaches, not forgetting, finally, the metamorphoses of Don Quijote in other arts: theatre and graphics.Downloads
