Datividad y animación en los Evangelios de la Biblia de Kralice

Abstract

In the first Slavic texts there exists an already noticeable double ending of dative singular (-u 1 -ovi) related to animacy. This paper analyses the relationship behveen these forms of dative singular, both substantiva1 and pronominal, and animacy. Although the paper begins with the analysis of Old Church Slavonic, particularly of Codex Marianus, the main subject are the Gospels from the Bible of Kralice, a Czech text from 16th century.
