El ciclo poético Carmen en la obra literaria de Alexandr Blok

Abstract

One of the feminine images -Carmen's- in the work of the poet Alexander Block signals a new stage in the history of romantic love affairs. This image, created by the writer in his poetic cycle, embodies a turbulent passion, a rebellion. Impressed by the actress' interpretation, which won the poet's heart, Block offers his own interpretation of Carmen's persona, close to the lyric hero of the poetic cycle and also to the poet himself. The poems in the cycle Carmen become an apotheosis of a solemn and mysterious love passion, a hymn to love.
