Elementos conformadores de un ciclo en Dzienniki gwiazdowe de Stanislaw Lem

Abstract

Stanislaw Lem's Star Diaries rank among the most important works of this author widely known in Poland and abroad. They are presented in the form of a cycle. The literary cycle must display pragmatic, syntactic as well as semantic coherence. The pragmatic and syntactic order of the text does not sufice to cal1 the Star Diaries a cycle. Within the field of semantics, however, the text shows coherence in the vocabulary, motifs, and structure. Following the idea of Jan Trzynadlowski, it may well be called a "loose cycle".
