La Guerra de la Independencia Española vista por los soldados polacos

Abstract

The paper presents the visions of Spain in the writings of Polish soldiers, which, as allies of France, participated in the War of the Spanish Independence. The memoirs of soldiers contain very interesting information about the course of the war and the geographical and social reality of Spain of the beginning of XIX century. The writings also reveal the mentality and stereotypes of the polish society of the same period.
