Morphological neologisms formation in contemporary Polish (select tendency)

Abstract

The main research subject presented in the article concerns morphological neologisms formation. The author analyzed morphological neologisms which perform nominative function in contemporary Polish. There is a presentation of words with Polish and foreign suffixes formation, foreign prefixes productivity and series with loaned morphemes formation. A frequent phenomenon, analogical structures formation, which sometimes needs contextual knowledge to be interpreted, is also described. In the innovation stratum the occasionalisms occurrence has been observed.
