Abstract
Discourse coherence: Contextual, conceptual, and grammatical dimensions. The aim of this paper is, in the first place, to review how different disciplines have described the concept of coherence. The different proposals are then integrated in an account of discourse coherence which is based mainly on Functional Discourse Grammar, which allows to place the various dimensions of coherence in independent components, levels and layers of a theory of verbal interaction.Format
