Abstract

Contextual elements in advertising discourse. In text grammar theories, advertising discourse is characterized as a communication unit including verbal and nonverbal structures, used with a persuasive goal. Contextual factors are analyzed in two newspaper ads in order to explain how institutional and commercial advertising influence each other.
