Los grupos en las organizaciones: delimitación conceptual y tipologías.

Abstract

Nowadays companies are being restructured to work in groups. They need to use groups because of environmental complexity. The management and academics press have increasingly emphasized the importance of teams for organizational success and have required more researches in this issue. Published papers are very heterogeneous because of the group concepts used and the types of groups analyzed. We are aware of this problem and, thus, we want to clarify the organizational group concepí and to review some group typologies. Our objective is threefold 1) to identify the types of organizational groups, 2) to determine key criteria of classification and 3) to integrate the typologies.
