Abstract

In this paper we analyze the most relevant factors of organizational culture that appear in the global manufacturing virtual networks. The study of organizational culture at the network level includes aspects such as the similarity of cultural practices among its actors, social integration, the transfer of tacit knowledge and the importance of trust in the network. They are, soft factors of the RVFGs and are one of the key aspects in their efficient operation. Using the theoretical model will analyze all relevant cultural factors inter-collaborations, and the possible existence of an organizational culture at the network level. To validate the proposed model, we apply the methodology of the case to an example of the aviation industry, which has been one of the most successful relationships within RVFGs, collaboration between GE and SNECMA for the CFM 56 engine manufacturing.
