Resumen

This article studies the role of print and reproduction print as a source and inspiration for the artist. Therefore, it is important to see them as a documentary source for the art historian as well. They are images acting as seeds for new artistic creations, beyond time and place. Due to their serial nature, they have a widespread effect and help to make possible a rich collective imaginary.
